Job Summary:

A supply chain specialist role with a focus on contracts. Performs all tasks involved in the formation, award and administration of contracts, with select formation and administration of purchase orders as needed. Communicates with bidders and stakeholders within Bechtel to establish clear definition of requirements and to assure performance to the stated project requirements. Depending on assignment, may lead a team of contract professionals on a project. As the team leader, you will have responsibility for the execution of subcontracting formation and administration for a project and overall performance of the Subcontracts team.

 

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Participates with the project team on a large project in defining and developing the scope of contract's work, and in preparing and coordinating contracting plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets 
• Contributes contracts input to the preparation and/or modifications of the project’s prime contract 
• Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on all project contract documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated 
• Develops and coordinates the Contract Execution Plan with Engineering and Construction plans and operations to ensure that input from these disciplines will enable Contracts to perform its functions in accordance with project plans 
• Reviews commitment approvals and execution/signature authorities and ensures commitments are made in accordance with Corporate and Contract policies and procedures 
• Develops and issues contracts and services agreements as assigned, and manages the subcontracts through the performance period 
• Participates in the development and implementation of the Subcontract Management Program for the project consistent with the Standard Work Process Procedures and the Subcontract/Contract Management Guidebook 
• Analyzes the subcontract commercial terms and conditions to highlight areas of risk such as ambiguities, conflicts, or deviations from the scope of work 
• Makes recommendations to the Project and/or Site Manager on the mitigation of these risks and closely monitors and supports remedial actions and recommend appropriate tradeoffs 
• Works with the other Project Team members to ensure that Bechtel or customer related actions or inactions which could result in constructive subcontract changes are identified and make recommendations on their resoluti
