Position Summary

This is an opportunity for a  talented Senior  Software Development Engineer to join our CVS Mail/Specialty Dispensing Applications Technology. The focus will be on delivering innovative healthcare solutions  for our Specialty Sanitas software application.

The position is responsible  for developing software for the Dispensing Applications technologies team. The group is a culturally diverse , embraces teamwork and delivers quality and encourages growth.

CVS Mail/Specialty Dispensing Application Technologies team currently supports 25 Mail and Specialty order pharmacies with plans  to support at least 12 more pharmacies in the near future. The Dispensing applications are a combination of in-house developed applications and vendor managed applications. These applications support both the manual process and the interfaces with automation. There are 10+ integrated software systems for filling, scanning, sorting, packing, inventory, postage, prescription intake, reporting, etc.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in the technologies utilized  by the application and to exercise the best practices in system design, coding, testing, documentation and project execution. The candidate must have a proven track record on leading the development and implementation of large scale and complex application and process redesign/improvements with diverse functional areas.

Responsible  for developing  and implementing technical solutions as assigned , ensuring and adhering to all established methodologies, standards and guidelines, including  but not limited to analysis and design documents, program specifications, test planes and results, design, code, test, debugging, documentation, project.

The position will vet vendors quotes and deliverables, drive adherence to support agreements through use of vendor report cards. They will also  be responsible  for providing  feedback on performance to the vendor as well as communicating  prioritization to the vendors.

Overall ownership  on automated dispensing teams deliverables. Deep knowledge of experience with problem determinations and resolution through research and fact finding.

High level of comfort working with different teams ( inhouse and outsource) and adapt well with the changing environments and within all levels of the organization. Technical proficiency,, facilitation, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making  and analytical skills required.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of programming and/or demonstrated leadership in application development (SDLC). 
  • 4+ years of enterprise scale software design
  • 2+ years  partnering with software vendors
  • 2+ years of experience leading large scale  project/initiatives.  
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical aspects of a project effectively. 
  • 2+ years of experience using Sanitas, C#.net/.core, SQL, MariaDB/MySQL, Angular


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Healthcare (PBM) industry systems.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing, logistics or automation systems.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Cloud Software (Azure Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform), TFS, GitHub, Octopus, Jenkins, Docker


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a C
