Registered Nurse, PRN  


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our non-medical Home Care team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and skilled in order to provide high-quality care to patients in the comfort of their homes, ensuring their well-being and promoting independence. 


This PRN Registered Nurse position offers a fulfilling chance to positively impact the lives of patients and their families and contribute to a dynamic agency team to deliver high-quality care services 


**This is a pay per visit position, not hourly. Pay is $75 - $100, depending on the type of task needed, i.e. initial client assessment, reassessment, care visit, caregiver skills assessment, team meeting. Visits and tasks typically average one hour or less. ** 



Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) PRN responsibilities include: 

  • assess new home care clients and create initial plans of care, maintain accurate client records, record vital signs, and report symptoms and changes in client conditions;
  • complete  long-term care eligibility assessments assigned to agency;
  • educate clients and families on managing their conditions and promoting wellness;
  • collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members such as home health and hospice to coordinate the best possible care;
  • monitor and evaluate client’s progress and update care plans accordingly; 
  • participate in in-service programs to train and teach caregivers as needed;
  • complete skills assessments for new caregivers;
  • participation in two team meetings per week.


 

Pay: $75.00-$100.00 per visit 


Expected hours: No less than 4 per week, primarily Monday - Friday, 9a - 5p 


Experience: Nursing: 1 year (Required) 


Work Location: On the road

Requirements


  • valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
  • driver’s license and insured auto available for transport to client locations 
  • minimum of one year of nursing experience in related setting
  • proficient in using electronic medical record systems 
  • ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively 
  • ability to provide care with empathy, respect, and understanding 
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
