Job Overview

Maintenance Technicians are multi-crafted in both mechanical and electrical components to troubleshoot and make adjustments on production machines.   As a Maintenance Technician you will perform maintenance tasks such as preventive maintenance and other plant work as necessary.


Schedule:

Flexibility to work evening hours and some weekends is required. 

Normal working hours are 6pm – 6am on a 2-3-2 rotation where you will work 12-hr shifts for 2 consecutive days, off 3, and then work another 2 12-hr shifts.  


Skill Sets Needed:

    Be Multi-Crafted and well versed in both mechanical and electrical concepts

    Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings

    Experience using both mechanical and electrical testing instruments such as but not limited to VOM, Loops Generators, Meggers such as Flukes, Dial Indicators working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) is a plus.

    Food processing and packaging experience is a plus

    Good communication skills both in listening and verbalizing

    Computer skills in understanding and experience using Microsoft Office and CMMS software

    Possess critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

    Experience and working knowledge of basic hand tools

    Other duties as assigned by the supervisor will be required.  


Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    Ability to stand, walk, kneel and climb and other physical requirements as needed 

    Must be able to tolerate allergen exposure to milk, cocoa and egg proteins

    Must be able to tolerate and be exposed to extreme climate changes, loud noises, vibration, fume, dust, odors, high elevations, slippery surfaces

    Must be able to pass drug screen


Educational Requirements:

    High School or GED Equivalent required

    Associate’s degree in technical field, trade school, military training or equivalent experience is a plus
