Retail Systems Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced Retail Systems Specialist to lead the rollout of Shopify POS across 6 retail store locations. You’ll be responsible for configuring the system, training staff (with an emphasis on inventory procedures), overseeing full inventory counts, and ensuring proper ongoing use of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and Maintain POS Systems - Set up, configure, and troubleshoot Point of Sale (POS) hardware and software across retail locations, ensuring smooth day-to-day operation.
• Staff Training and Support - Train store staff on POS usage, system updates, and best practices. Provide ongoing support for system-related issues.
• Inventory System Integration and Accuracy - Ensure POS systems are properly integrated with inventory management tools, and conduct spot checks to verify stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Process Optimization - Analyze current in-store processes related to transactions, returns, and inventory handling. Recommend and implement improvements for efficiency and consistency.
• System Audits and Compliance Checks - Regularly audit system performance and usage, ensure compliance with company protocols, and identify areas for improvement or retraining.

Requirements

• Prior experience with POS implementations in retail stores
• Strong understanding of retail inventory processes
• Excellent communication and training abilities
• Comfortable traveling to and working in multiple store locations (Memphis area)

Preferred:

• Experience with RFID systems in a retail setting
• Background in fashion or apparel retail
