About the role

The HR Generalist will provide HR expertise and support on a variety of day-to-day HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and performance management. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform activities related to payroll administration;
  • Ensure correct application of the local work legislation and Sterigenics rules and policies;
  • Perform activities related to welfare and training program;

Assist and support the HR Manager.

  1. Coordinate the local recruitment process, prepare advertisements and job descriptions, liaise with  external vendors, perform first resumé selection, welcome potential candidates and organize interviews scheduling
  2. Collaborates with the Labor Consultant (External) for the fulfillment of the necessary procedures for the hiring / resignation / promotion of employees; 
  3. Preparation and activation of badges to be given to employees, preparation of time schedules and the access of employees for accounting and security purposes;
  4. Prepare onboarding process, ensure correct communication about procedure and policies, coordinate initial training plan with direct supervisor/manager;
  5. Check of attendance, holidays, permits, overtime and illness, updating of the relative file for transmission to the Labor Consultant; daily updating of attendance register;
  6. Prepare labour contracts/job offers, follow up resignation processes and prepare change of position/salary letters;
  7. Management and assignments of canteen cards, badges, mobile phones and other benefits;
  8. Collaborates with the Labor Consultant (External) for the transmission of information for the preparation of monthly payroll, ensuring paychecks are released in time each and every month;
  9. Preparation of payments for salaries, social security and welfare charges;
  10. Preparation of gain share (and other bonuses) figures in collaboration with the General Manager
  11. Maintains and updates human resource information system records (on HCM) and extract reports from the systems when needed
  12. Supports the HR Manager and the General Manager in implementing Corporate HR policies, procedures and initiatives;
  13. Supports the HR Manager in the definition and implementation of Welfare activities and other benefits to employees.
  14. Keeps employee personal files (hard and electronic) in good order and updated.
  15. Follow-up and is always updated on  social and labour local legislation changes;
  16. Supports the HR Manager in the definition of training needs, plans their implementation and monitors compliance and effectiveness. Gather of training needs from Managers and preparation of the Annual Training Program;
  17. It promotes relationships and partnerships with universities, schools and business schools in the Region in order to channel the appropriate applications and possibly start internships in the company and to develop training courses.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the various human resource areas
  • Knowledge of Human Resource procedures, Corporate policies, and Italian legislation.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills dealing with a variety of people.
  • Knowledge of payroll, Social Security and Welfare Italian Legislations
