Job Description

Due to growth Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to lead HR activities in Italy. This is an exciting role in a growing international consultancy.

The Senior HR Business Partner role is hand-on and includes all different tasks incurring during the employment lifecycle, from issuing employment contracts, coordinating the new starter process, coordinating the leaver process but also driving the implementation of global and regional projects, such as the development of an attractive Learning & Development environment. The role also contains administrative tasks (eg. updating our HRIS system, issuing letters to employees, providing regional/global HR and the Business Generation team with HR statistics etc.). 

Key accountabilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team in Italy in all aspects of HR, such as performance management, talent identification and development, labour law related advice etc.
  • Ensure that all HR processes and procedures are developed and implemented in accordance with best practices and legal requirements and are kept up-to-date
  • Work closely with the management team to build effective talent strategies including retention, succession planning and employee development. 
  • Plan and arrange training according to local needs and in alignment with global and regional L&D strategy 
  • Issue job descriptions, employment contracts for employees; proactively improve contract templates and other HR templates
  • Cover all HR related administration (HRIS data accuracy, absence management, day-to-day-HR admin, HR Intranet content)
  • HR reporting and controlling: Analyze results of stay and exit interviews, employee engagement and others upon request and propose measures for improvement or to mitigate risks
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new starters (technical equipment, organisation first workday, induction pack etc.).
  • Analyse the quarterly employee engagement survey; Prepare reports for the management/Cost Centre Leads, recommend actions to be taken and monitor progress 
  • Administer all Employee Benefit plans such as Pension, Healthcare plans. Ensure correct administration processes are in place. Ensure benefit plans are competitive and cost effective 
  • Coordinate transfers, and the work permit process for non-EU/UK citizens (in collaboration with our external relocation agency partners); Support them during the relocation process 
  • Prepare and coordinate the monthly payroll process with the external payroll provider

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or above degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in human resources, with a strong expertise in compensation and benefits.
  • Solid knowledge of Italian labour and employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confident, articulate, and comfortable managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various teams and empathize with employees' needs.
  • Experience in data analysis, strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in particular) and proficiency with HR software tools and platforms.
  • Fluent in Italian and English
