About this role

HVAC Global Operations (Commercial and Residential) North America is seeking a skilled and experienced Material Transformation Leader to join our HVAC Aftermarket Planning team.

The Materials Transformation Leader drives process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains in material sourcing, utilization, and supply chain operations. This role involves analyzing current material workflows, implementing innovative transformation strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize material quality, sustainability, and performance. Key responsibilities include developing strategic initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

This role is ~90% onsite and ideal for someone based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The Materials Transformation Leader must be ability to travel up to 15% within USA and Mexico to our Carrier factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of the Materials Management & Logistics (MM&L) Carrier playbook: Implement standardized material management policies and procedures across various factories to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Provide functional leadership: Guide and support teams to achieve materials management and inventory targets. Mentor team members, setting performance goals, and ensure best practices
  • Drive transformational projects: Initiate and manage projects to improve materials management processes and enhance digital maturity. Identify areas for improvement, develop project plans, and oversee execution to achieve desired outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with i.e., Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and SIOP, to support materials transformation initiatives. Collaborate to ensures that stakeholders are aligned and work towards common goals
  • Support the implementation of digital tools: Integrate digital tools to streamline materials management and logistics operations. Evaluate new technologies, train team members in the use, and monitor effectiveness
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs): Track and report on KPIs related to materials management, i.e., inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and lead times. Use data to identify trends, measure performance, and make data-driven decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems i.e., SAP, JDE, and/or Oracle
  • 7+ years experience relating to project management in demand planning, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, materials management, logistics or operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • SIOP digital systems (e.g. Kinaxis), Material Management solutions (e.g. LeanDNA), and supplier portal systems (e.g. Infor)
  • Process definition, implementation, and change management
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • LEAN principles, and continuous improvement
  • English written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in, and commitment cross-functionally
