About the Position

  • Clinical Data Analyst
  • Full-time 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
  • On-site at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Data Analyst will support Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital quality and service improvement program by providing meaningful information through data collection, validation and analysis to guide decision-making of clinical and administrative leaders. This role will also serve as the data subject matter expert, supporting improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

 

Here's what you'll do when you join us:

  • Abstracts, validates and submits clinical data to mandatory public reporting entities and registries.
  • Analyzes data for improvement opportunities and works with teams as the data subject matter expert to implement processes to improve outcomes.
  • Conducts data queries in support of clinical and administrative data requests; consulting with staff and leaders to establish data needs and prioritization.
  • Ensures data integrity by recognizing anomalies and troubleshooting data collection and reporting issues, working with teams to understand and resolve data capture issues.
  • Uses quality improvement methods, tools, and project management theory to develop and maintain project support for leadership and process improvement teams.
  • Prepares written reports, dashboards, scorecards and presentations for leaders, clinicians and committees.
  • Supports provider credentialing and serves as coordinator of the OPPE/FPPE review process by managing the data content, collection, completion and distribution of provider scorecards.
  • Serves as Quality Consultant on the Stroke Program team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Information Management or equivalent experience in a related field.
  2. Information Management or equivalent experience in a related field.
  3. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare related field and/or information systems.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge in quality improvement methods.
  5. Good PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft suite of products; data base applications.
  6. Demonstrated data development, analysis and problem-solving skills.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with all levels in the organization.
  8. Requires knowledge in data systems, data management and an understanding of statistical techniques.
