Job Description
AECOM is looking for a senior project manager to support the Georgia Port Authority (GPA), one of the largest fastest growing ports and currently investing $1.9 billion in infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to become a part an ongoing program management on-call engineering contract, joining an established team of professionals working as extension of staff to GPA. You will represent AECOM and GPA by managing multiple projects and interfacing with GPA staff and external agencies to deliver infrastructure projects from concept development through commissioning. Manages scope, schedule, budget, internal resources, subconsultants, quality, safety, and change management. Hybrid work environment
Responsibilities:
- Manages one or more complex engineering projects
- Responsible for delivering projects using local and remote professionals, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
- Completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
- Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
- Manages projects involving complex, often competing, client requirements within previously developed areas. Project include civil, structural, transportation, electrical, communications, IT, and security engineering
- Project design decision-making authority and directs others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
- Engineer of Record on large projects
- Develops strong client relationships, both internal and external to the project team, and enhances project performance
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BS Civil Engineer or related field
- Six (6) years of demonstrated experience as a project manager.
- Six (6) years of demonstrated experience managing civil engineering projects and site development projects
- Diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas
- Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Current holder of, or have no restrictions to obtain, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC);
Preferred:
- PE License and/or ability to obtain a Georgia PE License through reciprocity in 3 months is required

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $100,000.00 to $170,000.00.
