About this role:
Wells Fargo is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in Enterprise Functions Technology to join an agile team developing technology solutions across multiple domains. The role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and engineers to shape technical strategy and product roadmaps, while ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, overseeing full-stack development, ensuring solution quality (security, scalability, resilience), and supporting cross-team feature implementation. The engineer will also manage vendor interactions and ensure compliance with risk and regulatory standards.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of large-scale web application development using Java Framework/Spring Boot
- 4+ year of experience developing with Python
- 4+ years of Oracle experience in writing and debugging complex PL SQL Stored Procedures
- 3+ years of experience with Big Data processing/analytics tools (Spark preferred)
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ year of experience with front-end web development (Angular 8 or above preferred)
- 2+ years of ETL experience (Informatica preferred)
- 3+ years of Rest API experience
- 2+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
- 2+ years of GitHub experience
- 1+ years of Jenkins experience
- Understanding of Open file and table formats
- Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Experience
- Knowledge of multi-threading and messaging workflows is a strong plus
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
- End-to-end design experience including wireframes and prototypes using SnagIt or equivalent screen capturing software
- Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 2+ years of experience with configuration, management, and troubleshooting Connect: Direct application and Secure+
Job Expectations:
- Must be able to work onsite in Charlotte, NC
