The Finance NextGen Programme is an Airbus Defence & Space-wide development programme.
This programme is designed to identify and develop talented Leaders for the Airbus Finance Community who will contribute significantly towards achieving our business goals. The Finance NextGen Programme - sponsored by Airbus Defence & Space' CFO - enables its participants to enhance financial know-how and expertise, combined with further learning in management and leadership competencies.
The mission of the programme:
Fostering and deepening participants’ financial knowledge and expertise on the Airbus world of Finance, enlarging the scope to the international financial context
Linking formal learning with rotating, real-business project assignments
Increasing participants’ project management and leadership competencies
Encouraging networking, job shadowing, mobility and cross-cultural experiences
Mentorship from a member of the Finance Top Management
This Program consists of two assignments in two different countries. Each assignment lasts for a period of two years. They are combined with off-the-job modules, designed to strengthen participant’s management and financial competencies.
For the first assignment this position is based in Toulouse (France). Here is the job description and required skills for the first two years:
Job Description
Within Airbus Defence and Space, Space Digital Geospatial is a global leading provider of optical & radar satellite imagery, associated services and solutions.The Geospatial France perimeter represents 250M€ yearly revenues and has engaged in strategic investments in imagery and solutions over the next years.
Mission
As financial partner, you will be part of the Geospatial France programme controlling team (11 people) and will take an active role to secure its ambition while insuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal controls of Airbus Defence & Space. Working closely with the responsible of reporting and planning and the budgetary controller, you will:
- Coordinate the monthly closing activities (timeline definition, drumbeating with project controllers) acting as a focal point for Accounting department
- Contribute to the analysis on performance against targets (OP, forecasts), propose and coordinate mitigations actions when needed on some verticals or perimeters
- Consolidate projects inputs and check data consistency
- Run all planning processes (short term / mid term planning....) and coordinate all contributions from the team
- Support budgetary controlling activities (hourly rate calculation, invoicing flows, deviation analysis, reporting)
- Contribute to Process and Tools improvement initiatives (Fast Close, ERP evolutions, Data Visualisation) and promote digitalization accross the entire team

Knowledges:
Degree: Master or equivalent (Graduate business School)
Good Knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS15
Broad knowledge of all financial processes and missions within Airbus
MS Office / ERP: ability to use SAP and SimpliFi
English proficiency is mandatory, French is a plus
