Position Description

We are looking for a Sr. ERP Engineer to join our corporate IT team based out of Omaha, NE. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional who is enthusiastic about IT and eager to grow his or her technological skills. This position will involve supporting the NAV/Business Central business applications globally. You will be working closely with end users, and the internal IT team. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of BC and NAV software and functionality, best practices, processes and business rules.
• Configure, upgrade and support BC and NAV for our global locations.
• Analyze and document business requirements and design solutions that meet end user needs and are technically sustainable.
• Understand both the functional and technical requirements of BC/NAV requests.
• Collaborate with end users to understand business issues and recommend solutions to make process more efficient and accurate.
• Provide best practices and solution alternatives to end users and team members.
• Write reports using SQL queries, SSRS, or Power BI.
• Communicate all significant application related issues regarding business controls, process controls and SOX requirements.
• Collaborate with current IT vendors and internal IT team to support their initiatives, as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with Business Central/NAV
• Must have functional knowledge of ERP, able to collaborate well with users on support, training, and project management.
• Technical knowledge of NAV/BC - ERP framework.
• Technical knowledge of NAV/BC - ERP – SQL structure.
• Technical knowledge of NAV/BC - ERP – Integration options.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and understanding of finance, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and/or operations.
• Project Management and business analysis experience for manufacturing/distribution companies a plus.
