[TW Engineering] Staff Back-end Engineer

<p>TW Online Service team is a dedicated engineering org for Coupang core business in Taiwan. The team is working with local business stakeholders, product team very closely to wow the customers and scale the business. We develop and maintain 10+ domains from Pre purchase domain, Purchase to Post purchase domain to provide E2E service for customers. We leverage AI, distribute systems to build mission-critical and highly scalable services to support business to be Top eCommerce platform in oversea market.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Architect, design and build scalable systems that will have a direct impact on customer acquisition, experience, conversion and retention</li> </ul> <p>l  Develop close relationships with Product and tech team in China and Korea l  Establish and execute short and long-term architectural roadmaps for the businessl  Drive continuous improvement to the efficiency and flexibility of the platform and services while keeping high bar for customer trust, performance and availability</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Basic Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent fields </li> <li>10+ years of industry experience of increasing responsibility leading a group of engineers, 5+ years of experience in software development in large distributed systems, web services and Java capability</li> <li>Experience in designing and implementing high-concurrency, high-availability, and high-scalability systems;</li> <li>Familiar with distributed system architecture, microservice architecture and design, and message queue, cache, database etc core backend knowledge</li> <li>Growth mindset, company-wide perspective. Focus on business problem solving, and data-driven</li> <li>Strong competency in delivering results in an environment of rapidly changing requirements with appropriate trade-offs </li> <li>Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and dive deep</li> <li>Experience working closely with global distributed teams </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Preferred </strong><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in eCommerce industry</li> <li><strong>Self-motivated</strong>with strong initiative and proactive approach</li> <li><strong>Excellent communicator</strong>skilled in managing complex collaborative relationships</li> <li><strong>Creative problem-solver</strong>with innovative thinking and dynamic mindset</li> <li>Fluent English communication</li> </ul>
