As a Finance Specialist Sr within PNC's Retail Banking Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA

As a Finance Specialist Senior, you will serve as a financial partner to the businesses we support as well as other partners within Finance. You will work with the business to understand their operations and keep current on changes taking place that could result in a financial impact. These impacts would be built into forecasting, budgeting, and project planning. You must have strong analytical capability, communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Role Description:
• Key finance partner for Retail Bank Operations and other areas within Retail as determined.
• In addition to the above, collaborate with partners in various parts of the organization, such as Sourcing, Technology, and other areas within Finance.
• Monitor financials and provide meaningful reporting and analytics to be used for business planning and business decisions.
• Complete accurate monthly forecasting and play a key role in annual budget planning.
• Communicate business observations and identify risks/opportunities
•General Accounting knowledge that incorporates reconciliations, journal entry processing and balance substantiations
•Advanced understanding of the Hyperion planning tool
•Knowledge of Ariba/vendor marketplace (optional)
•Ability to lead certain expense items in the annual budget and strategic plan processes
•Ability to understand, interpret and input monthly forecast changes
•Willingness to learn how to complete accounting data forms

Job Description

• Provides and may lead a variety of financial management and accounting services.
• Prepares internal financial and business metric reports and provides information to support quarterly and annual external reports.
• Leads annual budget process and monthly forecast updates and may lead or contribute to strategic plans.
• Delivers performance monitoring and communications and ad hoc finance and accounting analysis, which may include management accounting analysis. Identifies the accounting practices of the business and collaborates with the business on implementation of new accounting standards that impact the business.
• Delivers information in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, and investors. Prepares financial data and analysis to support risk management and identifies and escalates key risks to management. May also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business. Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes. Compiles data used for Stress Testing Projections.
