Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembler Team Lead to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 3rd shift.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, including work in confined spaces, operating equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools
Building effective resource plans by coordinating with peer team leads to mitigating and managing schedule/build conflicts
Identifies and communicates risks to the First Line Leader. Update and communicate BPS metrics using the LMS board
Identify KPI improvement actions
Works pre and post shift overtime as required to assess the status of build, assign daily work, and cover for labor loss
Leads team in daily safety check-in
Monitors and report daily progress to plan
Works with support organizations and the First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk
Documents and communicates shift turnover
Establishes overtime requirements and staffing
Monitors and controls FOD, 5S, and Tools
Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinate with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues
Create standardized work instructions
Supports teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training needs
Responsible for BPS process improvements
Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks
Exhibits Boeing Values and Behaviors
Maintains all necessary certifications to perform the job
Submits daily plans in Digital Full Kit (DFK)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must be willing to work 3rd shift
1+ years of experience with 787 Operations
1+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ or years’ experience leading a team
Experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience in Velocity
3+ years structures experience
3+ years of experience in customer closure processes

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $61,200-$64,500
