Job Description

SCOPE:

The Liquid Embolics Clinical Specialist will develop a strong understanding of Sirtex and the competitive landscape as well as clinical data and trends to be collaborative as a consultant in the selling process. This position requires someone with a strong clinical aptitude that can work in a team environment. Responsibilities unique to this position are having a good understanding of embolization procedures in the peripheral vasculature and being able to build strong relationships with the physicians and the staff. The Liquid Embolics Clinical Specialist is a trusted advisor and seen as a clinical sales expert by the field sales team and is expected to provide case support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives growth through collaboration with sales and marketing leadership as well as the field sales team through clinical, sales, and service support to improve market share.
  • Serves as key resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, specialty product usage and customer training. 
  • Attends procedures and provide support to clinicians and the Sirtex field sales team and advise on topics ranging from the product features and techniques.
  • Becomes the product expert to provide education to customers on clinical usage of the Sirtex products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms. Offers supplemental training support during product launches.
  • Responds to customer needs by developing creative and feasible solutions or collaborating with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the manager and the commercial leadership team.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a medical device sales and / or clinical role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previously interventional radiology or cardiovascular experience (embolization procedures ideally).
  • Strong clinical aptitude.
  • Experience with peripheral embolization technologies and related tools.
  • Ability to support multiple accounts and travel as needed.
  • Problem solving and the ability to be coached and directed by other teammates will allow collaboration and success in selling bag of specialty products. 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.
  • The ability to persevere in the face of challenges and exhibit a steadfast resolve and relentless commitment to higher standards.
  • Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with customers and Sirtex team members.
