Senior Manager, LCS Configuration Services Product Mgmt. 

Description -

This role is responsible for leading the Configuration & Deployment Services Product Management team within Lifecycle Services (LCS) of HP Solutions, reporting to the Head of Lifecycles Services. The LCS business and this role focus on driving significant revenue and margin contributions from a diverse portfolio of services.  

 

This role applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving the most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of non-exempt/exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s. Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans, manages and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. This role also collaborates globally to develop innovative solutions and leads cross-functional initiatives with a significant impact on the services business. 

  • P&L owner expected to deliver double-digit YoY revenue growth and considerable owned operating profit for HP Solutions - requires a deep understanding of both how to grow topline while also optimizing costs 

  • Global services product leader responsible for the development & management of Configuration (PL9R) & Deployment Services (PL16) Businesses 

  • Owner of product strategy, roadmap, execution of strategy, product launch/innovation, profitability, and in market success 

  • Leads broad/cross-functional initiatives through collaboration with a wide/complex network of peers and executives to achieve results 

  • Influences direction of multiple businesses, while providing leadership to overcome complex challenges  

  • Leader of large/broad department with full accountability for the success of the business 

 
Responsibilities 

  • Manages a team of exempt individual contributors, supervisors and/or lower-level managers, that typically support the organization’s large and complex business units or services segment management functions. 

  • Manages and evaluates the performance of business metrics related to both products and services, such as attach rates, penetration, revenue, and Total Customer Experience (TCE), while also developing recovery plans to address any exceptional issues. 

  • Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies, long-term goals, and strategic plans of the organization, operating within the framework of functional guidelines and ensuring adequate support for proposed projects. 

  • Partners with leadership to analyze monthly financial and operating results, isolates and explains key variance items and identifies areas for improvement and makes recommendations for maximizing opportunities. 

  • Supervises the team as well as individual performance and monitors the attainment of organizational goals and contractual commitments, encompassing aspects such as budget, cost, service availability, responses, and reports.
