Description

 JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates and facilitates System-wide projects and activities in support of the assigned area.

Apply project management principles and utilize project management tools to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Oversees the coordination and implementation of all aspects of ongoing projects and/or activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administer projects, including but not limited to the initiation, planning, execution, control, and monitoring.

Provide overall supervision of projects and coordinates implementation.

Communicate progress of and promotes project activities to Vice Chancellor of Instructional Services.

Lead projects and direct all aspects of the projects to ensure goals are met.

Review project proposals and/or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing project.

Ensure projects adhere to their scope and HCC requirements.

Establish and maintain effective organizational and administrative structure to administer projects at all levels.

Schedule and organize System-wide meetings, trainings, seminars, summits and special events.

Track project milestones, deliverables and budget.

Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project.

Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

Use project management tools to monitor Department projects.

Keep track of project progress and provides management with periodic status reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years business or industry experience required
Licensing & Certification
  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
