<p>Manager Athlete Science – Tech Operations</p> <p> </p> <p>PURPOSE &amp; OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION</p> <p> </p> <p>This role contributes to adidas’ mission to be the best sports company in the world by supporting an industry-leading sport science infrastructure by developing, implementing, and improving equipment, methodologies, and processes that enable adidas to deliver on its research programs. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Manage and deliver IT services which enable the team to increase the understanding of the athlete and athlete-product interactions (footwear and apparel).</li> <li>Maintain &amp; improve Hardware and Software especially for measurement equipment and the lab facility in general including documentation.</li> <li>Key contact to align Athlete Science Lab with adidas IT security policies (network structures, access rights etc.)</li> <li>Manage automation tools that support analysis and data management of sports science relevant data.</li> <li>Collaborate on internal and external research programs to develop new physical and digital test methods and relevant equipment.</li> <li>Manage and develop of digital solutions for data storage, clustering, and processing.</li> <li>Manage App developing projects for Innovation Lab topics.</li> <li>Transfer relevant information into digital processes &amp; protocols.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>KEY RELATIONSHIPS</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Innovation Team (primary Athlete Science &amp; Engineering)</li> <li>Tech (adidas IT services)</li> <li>Advanced Creation Testing</li> <li>Athlete Servicing</li> <li>External partners (Test institutes, equipment suppliers, software vendors, key technology providers, universities etc.)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Curiosity for science and technology with a passion to generate insights in the field of sport. </li> <li>Practical and applied when approaching a new field. </li> <li>Strong analytical skills, solution driven mindset with passion to proactively find the best solution.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of electronics and measurement technology</li> <li>Cooperate well, develop, and maintain relationships.</li> <li>Plan working time efficiently, balancing short term tasks with long term goals.</li> <li>Good communication and organizational skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team atmosphere.</li> <li>Fluent English (required), German (advantageous)</li> <li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>University degree with focus on IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience IT technology</li> <li>At least 5 years of relevant experience</li> <li>2 years of experience in IT service management</li> </ul> <p> </p>
