Fullstack Developer ( VG & E24 Portfolio )

<p><strong>ABOUT THE TEAM</strong></p> <p>We are a mid-sized team consisting of an EM, a PM, 2 UXers and 6 developers. We are located in Kraków, Warsaw, Rzeszów and Oslo. </p> <p></p> <p>Our code is 100% javascript (Next.js or Astro in the front, Koa/Hapi/Apollo GraphQL in the back). We keep a fair balance between typescript lovers and sceptics, use all the typical tools you’d expect e.g. webpack, jest, eslint, build in Github Actions and deploy most of our portfolio to AWS (dockerized or serverless). We’re observability fanatics (aka Datadog fans), so in most cases we know something is down before <i>they</i> do.</p> <p></p> <p>We work in 2-week sprints, where it’s up to you to pick the tasks from an area you want to develop in the most. The tasks usually vary between styling, React, Node.js, lambdas and infrastructure. We do a fair bit of pair or mob programming whenever a single brain is not enough to see the light in the tunnel.</p> <p></p> <p>We love to experiment with the latest tech and dedicate every second Friday to doing just that. The platform delivers daily inspiration on style, beauty and trends, combining practical tips with coverage of both local and international fashion. With engaging content, photo features, and shopping advice, MinMote.no has become the go-to destination for readers who want to stay updated on what’s new in fashion and lifestyle.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Pent.no</strong> is one of Norway’s most widely used weather services, providing reliable forecasts. The platform helps people plan their everyday activities and trips by delivering accurate and easy-to-understand forecasts for locations across Norway. With a strong focus on usability and precision, Pent.no has become a trusted source for weather information among Norwegian users.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>E24.no</strong> is Norway’s leading business and finance news website. The platform delivers up-to-date coverage of the economy and stock markets, along with in-depth analysis and expert commentary. With a strong reputation for trustworthy and insightful journalism, E24.no is a key source of financial information for both professionals and the general public.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a coding enthusiast – someone who always looks at the code and seeks ways to make it better. We want you to feel responsibility and pride for the products you build – just as we do. We are looking for a true team player, someone who enjoys working in a group but can also handle solving problems independently. If you meet these points and, on top of that, have a passion for learning and continuous improvement, then you are exactly the person we are looking for.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <ul><li>Proficient in Javascript and Typescript</li><li>You have a strong, real-world backend experience (preferably in Node). You know all the dos and don’ts when it comes to building scalable solutions</li><li>Next.js / React apps are no secret to you</li><li>You are familiar with at least one relational database (we use Aurora PSQL or MySQL)</li><li>You’re a great code-reviewer, always ready to help, constructive and to the point</li><li>You have some AWS/cloud experience, knowledge of Docker would definitely be a plus</li><li>You are open for discussion, curious and eager to learn new things and perspectives</li><li>You are active in meetings and good at turning conclusions into actions</li><li>You remain positive and motivate others to do better</li><li>You like sharing knowledge inside and outside the team</li><li>Taking part in Meetups or Hackathons or being an active open source contributor would also be a plus :)</li></ul> <ul></ul> <p></p> <p>We work in a<strong> hybrid way</strong> and would like to catch up with you at our vibrant and colourful office in <strong>Kraków 2 days per week.</strong> This allows for collaboration and meaningful connections with the team.
