Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Software Strategy Group provides top-tier investment and acquisition guidance, strategy, and transaction advisory for the software sector. Every year we help hundreds of software companies and investors make crucial business decisions. On every engagement, you will work alongside our team of former CTOs and CEOs with deep software expertise to learn from the best. 

 

Your key responsibilities 

As a Director with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Software Strategy Group, you will be at the helm of innovative projects, turning client challenges into clear, actionable tasks and deliverables. You'll be the driving force in day-to-day problem-solving, leading a dynamic team, and acting as the bridge between our talented consultants, partners, and clients. This is your chance to lead, inspire, and make a tangible impact in the ever-evolving software sector. 

 

 Skills and attributes for success 

  • Support clients in development of technology questions to assess investment hypotheses and engagement objectives. 

  • Charged with running complex engagements, framing overall hypotheses and the most important issues for workstreams to analyze. 

  • Act as a knowledge resource in a software economy affinity area and aid in practice-wide business development efforts. 

  • Drive strategic direction of practice-building activities.  

 

To qualify for the role, you must have 

  • Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.   

  • Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities.  

  • Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment. 

  • Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines. 

  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. 

  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
