Position Summary: Provides daily supervision of employees engaged in the manufacturing of Spartronics products. Is responsible for the scheduling and meeting/exceeding area KPIs relating to delivery, cost, safety, and quality. Identifies, executes, and maintains continuous improvement activities using 6S methodologies, Lean Six Sigma principles, and manufacturing best practices. This position is onsite reporting to our facility in Brooksville, Florida. 

  

Primary or Major Responsibilities: 

· Provides direct supervision to manufacturing employees in the SMT work cell.

· Plans, assigns, and adjusts work priorities to across multiple SMT lines to ensure most efficient flow of production in alignment with monthly/quarterly revenue plan. 

· Identifies, executes, and maintains continuous improvement activities using 6S methodologies, Lean Six Sigma principles, and manufacturing best practices. 

· Collect, prepare, and present area KPIs for daily production team meeting and management GEMBA walk daily.

· Monitors and oversees employee job performance such as attendance, quality, and productivity.

· Plans and Supports training activities in and out of department and maintains area skill matrix to accurately reflect employee    skills.

· Respond and react to area KPIs that are not meeting expectations.

· Establish root cause and corrective action on area related defects and occurrences.

· Ensures that all processes and procedures are performed as written, and obtains deviations as required.

· Primary interface with all support functions such as quality, engineering, materials, and production control.

· Support overtime activities on off days and weekends as required by workload.

· Monitors equipment for proper maintenance and operation.

· Other duties as assigned by Management.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Minimum associate degree in field of Business or Engineering, equivalent technical certification, and/or equivalent work experience required. 
  • 2 or more years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally, in written form, and using technology. Including presentation of information to upper management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite of programs and familiarity with ERP systems.
