This role falls under the Operations organization reporting through the RWECE Operations Technical Services department.  The Solar Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for managing the inventory and team for all solar sites at RWECE.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest level of HSE practices with all inventory and warehouse processes and procedures
  • Lead and direct a standard warehouse process (5S) of all material handling at all RWECE solar sites
  • Verify inventory processes and procedures for SAP MM are followed at RWECE solar sites
  • Lead and direct inventory cycle count processes at all RWE solar farms within region/monitor quarterly inventory counts for RWECE solar sites
  • Coordinate with sites within region to establish “root cause” for inventory variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead and direct process changes to reduce/eliminate inventory variances, including new AWP’s and other Operations policies and procedures
  • Ensure MRP settings review is completed at each site per RWECE policy
  • Ensure MRP report is ran and Purchase Requisitions are created for spares needed at all solar sites
  • Promotes and fosters the RWECE Ops culture and strong team environment not only within inventory/Ops site personnel/procurement/AP but across partner departments
  • Perform safety and site related tasks when assigned
  • Perform coaching sessions monthly and frequent 1-2-1’s with direct reports
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss KPIs, Action Log items and disseminate all pertinent news
  • Cascade new processes and procedures to team 
  • Implement and enforce NWOW procedures
  • Support and assist MM Specialist in creating new part numbers in SAP system
  • Ensure all employees are provided with training in a timely manner and is maintained per RWECE policy 
  • Provide clear line of communication to all employees of pertinent information disseminated by management team
  • Monitor all inventory control processes and procedures
  • Attend cross department meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • High School degree required; Associate's degree or higher in business or technical preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory and warehouse management, with at least 1 of these years using SAP Material Management
  • Minimum 2 years of direct Supervisory experience required
  • Experience in solar power, or other similar utility or industrial setting preferred
  • Ability to effectively enlist and energize stakeholders in a shared vision and to direct, align and inspire the actions of others in bringing about transformational change safety practices
  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders through two-way communications, personal leadership and commitment to the success of the organization
  • Ability to work typical work hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with potential to change dependent on work load
  • Promote safety for all at all times
  • Self-motivated and able to make decisions and take necessary actions without specific directions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on prioritization  
  • Must be able to work professionally with vendors, employees, managers, supervisors and guide direct reports to follow this behavior
  • Ability to research and correct invoicing issues, inventory discrepancies, and goods issue/goods receipt 
  • Must be capable of resolving conflicts
  • Must be able to sit, walk or stand for long duration of time
  • Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Must have ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Must be able to travel of 40-50%
