Job Summary:
The Pricing Analyst works with complicated data sets from multiple sources to analyze competitor trends and market positioning. In collaboration with brand and customer marketing, the analyst recommends appropriate pricing to achieve the financial goals of the organization. The Pricing Analyst will also manage the audit controls process for price and promotion execution within Americas region, with primary focus on the US market.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Partner with key stakeholders, specifically Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Commercial Operations to support development and implementation of the annual/semi-annual price updates.
- Provide support, guidance, and share best practices with Canadian and Latin American markets related to pricing, promotion, and rebate strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing to establish National and Customer Brand product promotions, prices, and rebate programs.
- Maintain source data about approved promotional and negotiated pricing for US national and customer brand promotions.
- Responsible for maintaining a Competitor Catalog to deliver analysis of competitor’s prices and rebate programs to inform leadership about competitor trends and support counter strategies and tactics for the marketing team.
- Interface with internal & external auditors and provide documentation as requested during quarterly audits for internal pricing controls and SOX compliance.
- Run monthly REV08/REV11 SOX mitigating controls report to verify price changes and work with the Sales Operations team on any remediation efforts.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, quality, attention to detail, and efficiency, ensuring best practices for price setting and auditing is adopted across all markets in the Americas region.
- Support the implementation of pricing and CPQ functionality within Oracle to manage customer pricing.
- Support special pricing projects as required
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%)
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge and use of excel is required to be considered
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tool, required
- Experience with ERP systems and Salesforce.com a plus
- High level of computer literacy, especially use of integrated systems, and databases a plus
- Adaptable and able to respond quickly to new information and different or unexpected results
- Ability to assimilate large sets of data from different sources & perform fact-based analytics to drive business decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively to provide clear and succinct interpretation of analysis to management teams and across functions
- Adept at working cross functionally and at multiple levels to achieve results
- Willingness to perform routine tasks as well as manage through ambiguity in a diverse and challenging environment to support growth
- Competent at management & prioritization of work, paying attention to deadlines
Work Environment:
- Normal office environment; hybrid work structure (60/40)
- Prolonged sitting in front of a computer
- Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of business, sales, or marketing discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in pricing analysis, complex analytics and scenario modelling
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, mathematics, finance, or similar
- Advanced degree or certification in pricing related discipline, a plus
