POSITION SUMMARY

Lowrie Electric is seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager to join our team in Bartlett, TN. The successful candidate will manage warehouse operations, which includes supervising warehouse personnel and delivery drivers, scheduling delivery routes, shipping, receiving, organizing warehouse, fulfilling orders, and using/maintaining the warehouse management system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.

  • Maintains receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safely operates delivery vehicle to deliver equipment, tools, materials, parts and supplies to construction job sites.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. 
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
  • Provides status reports pertaining to orders, shipments, and inventory levels.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment when necessary.
  • Ensure strategic sourcing, forecasting, and proper lead time for material and equipment.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Audit health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with the Safety Program, OSHA, and provide for safe working environments for employees.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years management experience of warehouse operations.
  • Prior experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain in an engineering and/or construction project environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with electrical components, materials and construction supplies.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, OSHA, and relevant safety practices.
  • Operating experience in procurement, safety, fleet, and pre-task planning.
  • Familiarization with bar-coding and process controls.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Experience with billing, tooling software, and purchase order software.
