"OUR PEOPLE ARE OUR STRATEGY" We are growing and in need of a Plant Operator III for our VSS Emultech facility.

Our Seasonal Operator II is an Intermediate-level operator responsible for manufacturing of emulsified and binder products; loading and unloading of emulsified products, hot asphalt chemicals and related supplies. Operate and understand all plant equipment. Operator III ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Manufacturing of emulsified asphalt product.
Manufacturing of asphalt binders
Loading and unloading of emulsified asphalt and binder trucks, tack pots and spreader trucks.
Unloading chemical and supply trucks.
Operate all boilers, heaters, oxidizers and any other plant equipment
Collection of products samples.
Basic housekeeping duties (cleaning up litter, spilled products, bathrooms and offices).
Sweeping building interiors.
Proper tool cleaning and storage.
Sampling and testing of asphalt and emulsified asphalt product to meet ALL DOT and AASHTO specifications.
Basic written recordkeeping.
Daily Tank level readings.
Daily paperwork.
Holding safety meetings and training classes.
Adherence to all environmental, health and safety rules, policies and procedures

Operator III QUALIFICATIONS:

An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs
Hands-on experience with plant operations
5 + years of experience in the road surfacing industry, emulsion plants and asphalt terminal experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current state automobile driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, potentially for work-related travel.
