About the role

Midwest Bus Sales Inc

This is an outside sales type position that requires someone who is a self-starter, a strong attention to detail, someone who understands the importance of relationships with their customers as well as their coworkers. The Outside Parts Sales position is responsible for maximizing the efficiency, revenue and productivity of the parts department and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong relationship skills and be very organized. This job requires 80% travel time visiting customers, building relationships, and delivering parts in a company vehicle.

  • Visiting and communicating with customers on all aspects of both the Parts & Service department on a routine basis.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to take notes to update Pipedrive CRM tool are a must.
  • Advises customers of promotions and new items available.
  • Make recommendations to customers for additional items.  
  • Promote and research products and services Midwest Bus Sales can offer.
  • Create customer estimates to the customer, generate sales, and finalize invoices. 
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as our own proprietary software are required.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track orders, build quotes and follow-up with customers. 
  • Ability to identify in-house and other sourced parts opportunities. 
  • Communicate effectively with Parts Manager about AOR and customer feedback. 
  • Communicate daily with inside parts staff to process customer orders. 
  • Handle all aspects of sales and ordering process to the customer with little to no assistance. 
  • Assist in maintaining inventory, including counting inventory, warehouse organization. 
  • Determines need for maintenance and repair parts using information relayed by customers and suggest related parts to aid in job completion.
  • Maintain company vehicle, keep clean and up to date with maintenance intervals.  
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with internal and external customers to encourage growth of the business.     
  • Maintains a professional appearance and attitude with co-workers, customers, vendors
