Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Job Location:  640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Develop data pipelines to build LLM powered API. Perform prompt engineering on LLMs to analyze and improve the quality of Machine Learning model output. Responsible for data preparation, prompts creation, analyzing labels, and creating validation framework for finetuning open source LLMs. Lead the initiative for improving Walmart Global Content Catalog data by designing a framework to analyze output of LLMs. Use HTML and web scraping techniques to identify and extract attributes that can improve the performance of deep learning models. Lead omni-initiative by designing architecture, developing KPI metrics, building data pipelines, and creating reports to consolidate and track Walmart US Stores and E commerce metrics. Manage manual operations resource and bandwidth allocation to ensure effective data processing and quick turn-around times. Lead cross functional business communication with stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and Business teams. Lead continuous evaluation and improvement of existing models and data processes, ensuring they adopt to evolving business needs. Use advanced statistical techniques such as Pareto analysis, Descriptive statistics, and co-relation analysis to perform data cleaning, manipulation, and exploration of Walmart Stores and e-commerce data. Leverage Data Pipeline Architecture techniques to build CI/CD pipelines in airflow to capture Active assortment and inventory, private/exclusive items, product hierarchy, sales, and prices for US Stores. Lead the initiative to perform CI/CD pipeline migration of Walmart US Stores and e-commerce data from Jenkins to Airflow. Create a centralized data repository using ETL processes and leverage data from multiple sources to design and enable new matching and pricing techniques for Walmart Private Brand items. Develop a framework to streamline and automate the process for improving the quality of Walmart assortment and pricing data using Shell scripting, python, SQL, and airflow. Design, develop, and implement reporting frameworks to monitor and track the health of Walmart Store, e-commerce pricing, and assortment data systems. Perform churn analysis in SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Tableau on Walmart data to identify high-risk and high-yield products and categories. Design search strategies and rules to gather insights and recommend deep learning vs traditional approaches for competitor assessment and onboarding. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience with advanced SQL for slicing, dicing, and aggregating distributed datasets to generate insights using MSSQL or Oracle. Experience with statistical data mining to conduct in depth analysis of large data sets in R and Scikit-learn. Experience coding and scripting using Python or R. Experience building Business Intelligence reports using Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI. Experience with web charting library D3. Experience with one of the following big data technologies: Apache Hive or Google BigQuery. Experience with one of the following cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, or GCP. Experience evaluating and benchmarking machine learning models. Experience with hypothesis testing, A/B testing, segmentation, churn analysis, repeat purchase, and market base using Python or R. Experience with GitHUB for code repository maintenance and CI/CD frameworks for reporting and analytics frameworks. Experience designing business KPIs to measure the success of business initiatives and determine areas of opportunity in business initiatives and engineering systems.
