About the role

Description

Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in the Department of Italian Studies and Hebrew beginning August 2026. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on qualifications.  Appointment is for nine months per year (August - May). This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate (or terminal degree) in Italian, Comparative Literature, or a related field. Field of specialization is open. Teaching load is 3/3. Native or near native fluency in Italian and English as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching are required. The successful candidate will teach all levels of Italian and participate actively in the life of the academic program.
