Program Manager, PFAS Mitigation in Semiconductor Manufacturing
In this role, you will lead a high-impact research program aimed at developing innovative solutions to mitigate the harmful environmental impacts of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in semiconductor manufacturing processes, driving breakthrough technologies that will revolutionize the industry's approach to environmental sustainability.
Every day, you will oversee a portfolio of high-risk, high-reward research projects, engage with leading researchers and industry partners, and evaluate innovative proposals with the potential to create paradigm shifts in PFAS management within the semiconductor industry.
To thrive in this role, you must possess an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a relevant field, have a minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability, supply chain management, research, development, or program management, and demonstrated expertise in semiconductor waste management including environmental impacts and mitigation strategies for PFAS

Responsibilities
AS a critical element of the NSTC Sustainability strategy, develop and oversee a portfolio of high-risk, high-reward research projects focused on PFAS detection, mitigation, and treatment in semiconductor manufacturing
Engage with leading researchers, institutions, and industry partners to build a diverse research community and foster collaboration through workshops and conferences
Evaluate and select innovative research proposals with the potential to create paradigm shifts in PFAS management within the semiconductor industry
Manage program budgets, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements
Continuously assess and adapt program direction to maintain cutting-edge relevance in PFAS mitigation technologies and analytical methods
Liaise with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and environmental organizations to align the program with broader policy, sustainability goals, and environmental regulations
Communicate program progress, challenges, and achievements to diverse audiences, including technical experts, policymakers, and the general public
Drive the development of transformative solutions for PFAS detection, mitigation, and treatment throughout the semiconductor manufacturing lifecycle
Required Skills and Experience
Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, or a closely related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability, research, development, or program management, with d emonstrated expertise in semiconductor waste management including environmental impacts and mitigation strategies for PFAS
Extensive experience in waste treatment, especially semiconductor fab effluent and gases, including abate
