Job Description
The Enterprise Networking Team Lead assists the professional services practice lead in assisting with setting the strategy and direction for the Enterprise Networking team, which is responsible for the business case, architecture, design, and implementation of network and security engagements. The Enterprise Networking Team Lead is focused on driving excellence within their team, while continually enhancing the client’s Burwood experience. As the Enterprise Networking Team Lead, you will work with our sales and market lead teams, along with your practice lead to create and deliver solutions relevant and provide value to our customers.
Within this role you will:
- Support the overall practice by ensuring that your people and the solutions they design, deliver, and bring to market help drive customer value.
- Collaborate with your fellow practice members to bring new solutions (and enhance existing) to market that combine security and network capabilities with overall Enterprise Networking strategies to meet the needs of the market and provide holistic options for our customers.
- Drive solution maturity and team area growth through evaluation of solutions, vendors, and partners.
- Ensure the solutions/offerings of the practice are strategically aligned to the market as well as to Burwood’s defined company goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Who You Are
You have a strong consulting & leadership background, and have worked through the full project lifecycle from sales to rollout for various initiatives. Alternatively, equivalent large enterprise experience will be considered.
- A strong understanding of network architectures, solutions, processes, frameworks, and components.
- Expert knowledge of networking principles, routing / switching, and protocols. (e.g. BGP, EIGRP)
- Deep experience with Cisco Network/Security products, as well as competing solutions
- You have a passion for technology and keep informed of market trends, solution insights and vendor roadmaps
- You build and foster a culture of innovation and “running to the fire” (extreme ownership)
- Have a track record of building and continuously evolving team members to meet the needs of the customer, organization, and its people
- Your tenure and expertise make you credible and capable of leading conversations/relationships at Director Level and above within both technology and business-facing teams
- You build relationships and bring considerable value, partnering with clients as a trusted advisor
- You provide leadership both internally and externally to move work forward and meet objectives
- You are dedicated to continual learning and staying current on technology to always have a point-of-view worth sharing
- You have excellent communications skills whether that be in-person, over-the-phone, or messaging.
- You don’t mind responsibility, you’re accountable for your work and dedicated to a job well done
- You have strong business acumen and are adept at communicating across all levels how technical solutions solve business problems.
- You’re willing to travel as needed (Estimated 15-20%; while rare, it is a possibility)
Additional Information
The Tech Stuff
5 years or more experience with all facets of Secure Network technology, including but not limited to:
- LAN/WAN
- Wireless LAN
- Software-Defined LAN/WAN
- Network Access Control
- Nextgen Firewalls
- Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of enterprise network security architectures including network focused prevention and protection, end point security and posture, securing data from the end point to the edge of the network
