TP- DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS MANAGER

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Plan, organize, and manage the distribution of goods, ensuring products are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
• Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to optimize transportation and minimize costs.
• Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage, and distribution processes.
• Monitor and analyze distribution metrics and KPIs to improve overall performance and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to resolve any issues related to shipping, delivery, or inventory.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in all distribution processes.
• Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and other third-party logistics services.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of distribution and warehouse staff.
• Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain or unexpected challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics operations for reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience as a Distribution Manager, Logistics Manager, or in a similar role.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
• Experience in managing international logistics and customs compliance.

Job Skills:

• Strong understanding of supply chain, warehouse, and distribution processes.
• Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, safety standards, and best practices in logistics and transportation.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

 

Education:

• High School diploma or GED is required
• Bachelor's degree is preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional travel to meet with suppliers, vendors, and clients
• Operates in both office and warehouse settings

 

Special Requirements:
