Seamstress

The primary role of a seamstress is to complete alterations, sew hems, mend zippers, and apply buttons to hotel uniforms. May also distribute and track uniforms and manage guest dry cleaning to ensure quality and guest satisfaction. High attention to detail and great customer service skills are required. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle guest laundry and dry cleaning requests with care and attention to special instructions.

• Adhere to all hotel hygiene and safety standards.

• Assist in keeping inventory of laundry supplies and requesting replenishments as needed.

• Provide excellent service and respond to guest or staff inquiries in a professional manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 years proven experience as a seamstress.

• Excellent sewing skills, with a strong attention to detail.

• Knowledge of various fabrics, including how to handle and care for them.

• Ability to read and understand patterns and specifications.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft programs and email.
