About the role

IntraHealth International is now seeking a Program Specialist to work with the Frontline Health Workers Coalition.

The Frontline Health Workers Coalition advocates for urgent actions to address the world’s most acute gaps in access to health workers. We're an alliance of US and international organizations urging greater support, supervision, and strategic investments for all health workers—especially in low- and middle-income countries—to save lives and foster a healthier, safer, and more prosperous world. We serve both a technical support and oversight function to the United States government and multilateral institutions, as well as a partner to health workers and advocates worldwide to ensure every community has access to essential health services from trained and supported health workers.

As a key member of the Frontline Health Workers Coalition Secretariat, you’ll wear many hats—providing essential advocacy, membership coordination, operational expertise, and programmatic support to ensure the Coalition runs efficiently.

This position can be based remotely within the United States.

In this role you will:

  • Manage Coalition membership functions, including recruitment, retention, correspondence, database upkeep, and digital communications (website, social media, etc.).
  • Draft content and support communications activities such as publications, events, campaigns, and digital media.
  • Assist policy and advocacy efforts by creating materials like briefs, messaging documents, presentations, and campaign collateral (e.g., World Health Worker Week).
  • Support Coalition Working Groups, Committees, member meetings, and other key initiatives.
  • Perform operational tasks, including invoicing, finance, data management, scheduling, logistics, and business development support.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in global health or international policy preferred.
  • At least two years of relevant experience, with a passion for health workforce development and strong research and writing skills.
  • Experience in coalition building, membership engagement, or advocacy is highly desirable.
  • Extensive research and writing experience, particularly in global health topics.
  • Knowledge of global health issues, especially health workforce challenges, is a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills are required.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $51,000 - $79,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on experience, education, training, skill level, project budget and market conditions.
