Principal Group Product Manager

We are seeking a Principal Group Product Manager to join our organization and help develop novel, AI-driven content creation experiences. Our team currently sits within the Office Product Group and is responsible for several generative AI services and product experiences.
As a Principal Group Product Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset, you will play an integral role in defining and executing a new vision for AI-driven content creation across multiple domains. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, designers, ML scientists, and researchers to build new interfaces and product experiences, shape underlying AI capabilities that support these experiences, and foster a culture of innovation and high-craft product making.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products
- Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
- Establish a shared vision with cross-functional peers and executives
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
- Understand Microsoft’s strategic and position as part of the Microsoft 365 Copilot initiative and deliver world-class products
- Build and learn quickly in a constantly evolving environment
- Identify new areas of opportunity for product investment
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years people management experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 15+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)) OR equivalent experience.
Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay
