Senior Software Engineer

Job Type Full-time Description

Reporting to the Manager of Software Development for the CX-INSIGHT team, this role will enhance and build upon CX-INSIGHT, part of Caresyntax’s suite of digital surgery products. CX-INSIGHT provides surgeons, hospital staff, administration, and others unique insights based on clinical, operational, and financial metrics.

Requirements

 

• Work closely with Product Management, Clinical, and other business functions to understand customer and business requirements for software products and solutions.
• Participate in technical architecture, framework, and implementation design planning for your area of focus.
• Develop new enhancements, features, and new applications that meet or exceed stakeholder requirements.
• Troubleshoot and fix software bugs.
• Participate in code reviews, as both a reviewer and as a contributor receiving feedback from your peers.
• Maintain a test automation to ensure all aspects of the Caresyntax platform meet all functional and performance requirements.
• Create and maintain documentation for your components.
• Maintain our Continuous Delivery pipeline to ensure automation of software builds, test executions, quality and approval gates, and deployment.
• Monitor hosted environments from development to production for service interruption or degradation.
• Respond to customer service escalations and service issues in any environment within the timeline of an established SLA framework.
• Actively participate in all aspects of a Scrum team, including daily standups, grooming/estimation, sprint planning, and retrospective.
• Maintain a regular work schedule for responding to chat messages, email, join meetings, and participate in other real-time remote communications.
• Occasionally travel as required.

Requirements:

  

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field- Required
• 5+ years of experience building SaaS multi-tenant, commercial software products and platforms.
• Willing to apply Agile and Lean methodologies.
• Familiarity with large-scale data driven analytical application design and development.
• Strong proficiency with Java web development, Groovy/Grails preferred. 
• JavaScript experience required; React experience preferred.
• Familiarity with test automation tools. Selenium preferred. 
• Strong proficiency with relational databases. Experience with MySQL, Postgres or similar preferred.
• Familiarity with analytical data structures and reporting preferred.
• Experience in AWS-based software product development preferred.
• Effective communication skills along with strong analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and excel within a fast paced, dynamic environment with a flat organizational structure. 
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable with AI/ML framework and development process is a plus.
