The Senior Business Analyst is a critical piece of the overall project team tasked with development, implementation, and maintenance of client systems. Candidates for this position must be detail oriented, have strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships throughout the life cycle of the project.
The Senior Business Analyst will work with developers and end users in an application development environment and primarily be responsible for requirements gathering, technical specification documentation, developing test scenarios, and testing. In addition, the Senior Business Analyst will work with the Senior Project Manager in overseeing the overall software development effort.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management Functions (in conjunction with Senior Project Manager)
- Identifies, tracks, manages, and resolves project risks and issues.
- Develops Project Management Office deliverables.
- Provides overall leadership and management of project resources.
- Defines and collects metrics to give a sense of how the project is progressing and whether the deliverables produced are acceptable.
- Manages the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within scope and budget.
- Works closely with Senior Management in reporting project status and concerns.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with the customer's management and project teams.
- Collaborates with clients to understand and define their business functions and processes.
- Defines system requirements, flows, and interfaces based on customer needs.
- Leads workshops and meetings to gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Utilizes analytical skills to analyze complex data sets and provides insights to support business decision-making.
