The anticipated salary for this position can range from $86,049-$110,915.50 depending on relevant education, experience, and location.
Director of Field Development
Summary: Lead, service and support Young Life divisions, regions and areas in achieving sustained financial health.
Essential DutiesSupervise field development staff and field development departments.Serve senior vice presidents and regional directors with ongoing direct consulting and training services.Coordinate with the Learning and Leadership department to teach at New Staff Training, Area Director School and Regional Director School.Establish management metrics for regional directors in managing areas’ and regions’ financial activity and status.Relationship Centered Engagement (RCE)Serve a focal point and resource for all RCE philosophy trainServe as a key component for all RCE technology development and trainingMonitor all RCE training, activity and results and provide relevant data, analysis and recommendations.Plan and help implement training for the 20:20 Program and the four tiers of PDD Coaching.Work with other Mission Services departments in honing systems and in advising on additional technology needed in the field.Lead in creating solutions for addressing weaknesses, especially the opportunity to reengage lapsed donors, better engage donors in transformational experiences and encourage ongoing support.Aid the field in operating in the paradigm of fundraising being “a ministry to donors” and bring that key perspective to decision-making conversations.Lead in researching contextualized fundraising through engaging outside research, and having team conduct internal research such as through the Field Development Diversity Task Force.Continue to implement a plan to make the field development coordinator positions financially sustainable, including grants, personal support and coaching income.Support the field in their desire for diverse and equitable fundraising, and provide resources and training for staff and staff’s supervisors.Continue to lead the coaching model in a way that sustains and expands PDD, and sets an example for other coaching programs throughout the mission.Supervise team including onboarding, regular supervision meetings, performance evaluations and improvement, individual development plans, hiring and terminations. Serve as a resource for the field that helps them fundraise in the most effective ways possible so they can fundraise as a ministry, and maximize their time for non-fundraising ministry work as well.Provide spiritual and pastoral leadership in the context of reminding staff of the spiritual and biblical nature of fundraising within their calling, and providing spiritual and visionary leadership to Field Development team.Working Conditions:Travel as needed.
Able to work from the Service Center (Colorado Springs) preferred
Education:Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
