About the Team

Do you love to make an impact? Workday is looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Director, North America Field Marketing to lead an experienced team based in North America and Canada with a focus on driving business impact and creating programs that directly support the needs of the business. You will work cross-functionally to align team members in the region that may have separate reporting lines including communications, digital, content and customer advocacy.

About the Role

We are looking for a leader who has the ability to manage an impactful team, align and work across sales, marketing and development organizations effectively, while producing and managing high quality marketing programs that drive awareness and demand for the Workday Industry solutions. This important role reports to the Vice President of North America Marketing. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Own and manage a quarterly demand pipeline goal in partnership with the sales organization.

  • Create annual marketing plans for the region designed to drive brand recognition and build pipeline for Workday’s solutions.

  • Develop talent within the North America marketing organization to support growth in Canada and US segments.

  • Collaborate across departments to identify and optimize new growth opportunities for Workday, which may include exploring acquisitions, partner opportunities, expanding into new business segments, and targeting specific industries, all aimed at increasing pipeline growth and achieving revenue targets.​

  • ​​Be a trusted advisor to the North America GTM teams, aligning with the sales team on regular basis to drive planning and execution and ensuring timely and open communication channels.

  • Ensure flawless execution across all planned marketing activities, marshaling the key team members to drive successful outcomes for the business.

  • Identify audience and industry segmentation strategy; vehicle and media mix recommendation, timing and forecast of results.

  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with a cross-functional corporate marketing team. This will include demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications and creative services.

  • Work with appropriate groups (product marketing, sales, operations and strategy) to develop appropriate messaging platforms, content, and stories from which to build campaigns.

  • Analyze campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization and future enhancements​

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Leading marketing in a high growth, technology company as North America marketing leader.

  • Experience in marketing specifically within the Canadian market.

  • 15+ years of successful marketing experience in a SaaS, enterprise software, cloud environment.

  • A demonstrable track record of team building, and leadership at Director and Sr. Director level.

  • Knowledge of B2B enterprise software market, preferably within HR and/or Financial applications and marketing to small and medium enterprise companies.

Other Qualifications:

  • Willing to travel within North America for 3rd party and owned events, and facilitating team building initiatives.

  • Possesses a business degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking and hands-on execution to drive program success.

  • Proven track record of driving integrated, streamlined marketing programs that generate pipeline growth, including specialized campaigns targeting specific industries.
