The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the MLR Operations Specialist you will own the material submission process, prepare marketing content before they are submitted for review and approval inside Veeva PromoMat.
What You’ll Work On
Learn and master all MLR processes, rules, and regulations.
Serve as subject matter expert for the US Commercial teams to help create and finetune promotional materials.
Prepare documents in Veeva PromoMat for submission.
Traffic certain documents in Veeva PromoMat.
Track and monitor Veeva reports to assign review tasks for MLR, inform reviewers of priorities, work with them to set the priority levels for review, and follow up with content owners on the status of their MLR pieces.
Edit, proofread, and check for consistency and grammatical accuracy of submissions.
Perform simple desktop publishing duties such as fixing typos and minor graphic design tasks.
Manage deadlines and timelines proactively to ensure approval deadlines are met.
Resolve issues as they arise and implement lessons learned.
Prepare and present project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Identify problems and work to resolve them.
Establish partnerships across OEC, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory to enable optimal commercial compliance adherence.
Implement best practices for the review process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Work with outside vendors and consultants to execute projects as needed.
Follow all Abbott Legal, Quality, and Regulatory policies.
Collaborate with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) teams to ensure promotional materials are scientifically accurate, legally compliant, and adhere to regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus 2 years of experience
Experience with healthcare and/or biotech industries
Experience in sales operations, marketing operations or compliance operations
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent software skills such as Microsoft Suite, Veeva PromoMat, Sharepoint, OneDrive
Quick learning abilities
Extreme attention to details
Ability to work cross functionally and in an environment with changing priorities
Sound business and technical acumen, especially in learning new software and platforms
Excellent communication skills
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
