About the role

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) Assistant serves as a student leader of the campus’s programming efforts. Assist Office of Student Life with coordination and implementation of Campus Activities Board events and activities.

Major Responsibilities:

Represent the student body’s voice when selecting future events/activities.

Learn and become knowledgeable of the variety of social platforms.

May be asked to participate in promoting campus events while in a mascot costume (depending on physical requirements).

Become the expert lead in virtual programming with regards to the leading social platforms used.

Assist with event logistics (setup, tear down, attendance tracking, assisting performers, etc.) at Campus Activities Board events/activities.

Create fliers and other promotional materials for events/activities.

Distribute event promotional materials on campus.

Assist the Office of Student Life with post event assessment through providing feedback, compiling survey data, etc.

Attend CAB sponsored events and activities.

Attend and actively participate in CAB/Student Life event planning meetings.

Actively encourage students to participate and/or get involved on campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a currently registered student at the Ivy Tech campus served. Must remain in good academic standing (2.0 cumulative GPA) and in good standing with regards to the student code of conduct.
