POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician (FMT) performs various routine lite building maintenance and custodial work involving the care, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the assigned facility and performs related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate must have the ability to maintain DEUTZ facilities located in Norcross, GA, and Pendergrass, GA. The Facilities Maintenance Technician must be able to work in a professional manner and provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment while performing work related duties as required by OSHA Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Performs a variety of routine building maintenance and repairs such as lite electrical repair, plumbing, patching, painting walls, and trash collection/removal.
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops, strips, waxes, and polishes floors, vacuums, shampoos, and spot clean rugs and carpets in offices, conference rooms, and other work areas when needed.
- Repair/replace minor plumbing fixtures, unclogs drains, toilets, and sinks, replenishes supplies in restrooms, as needed.
- Operates and maintains hand and power tools to perform routine lite building maintenance and custodial activities.
- Moves and arranges furniture and office equipment as needed; sets up rooms, chairs, equipment, and tables for meetings and other events; assists with cleanup of furniture, equipment, and debris following events.
- Minor door handle and lock repairs including lockouts, securing of gates and site access points.
- Identifies and reports maintenance and repair needs; reports vandalism and safety, sanitary and fire hazards to appropriate staff; responds to emergency requests.
