Job Duties

This position is located at our Central Regional Office. Provides administrative support for the Regional Administrators through good customer service skills, proficient filing of all documents, and good secretarial skills. Maintains files on information received from the Director, Chief of Corrections Operations, Wardens/Superintendents, Chiefs, inmates, staff, and the public. Receives and distributes information to appropriate staff. Performs fiscal, procurement and personnel related responsibilities in support of regional office operational needs. Ensures the Regional Administrators’ schedules are maintained and updated on Outlook. Compiles information tracks critical deadlines and prepares monthly reports for the region. Serves as the depository for regional reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information. Demonstrated ability to compose and prepare professional correspondence, written communications, and statistical reports. Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and related software and applications such as Microsoft Office, to include Word, to accomplish office support requirements.

Additional Considerations

Business principles or equivalent training or experience in a related field, coursework in Business Administration, a Business-related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training desired. Experience in workflow analysis, project management, and policy interpretation. Experience and knowledge of corrections management and institutions.
