The Desktop Support Specialist I provide consultation to business area management and staff at the highest level for all aspects of end user computing and network-based PC/workstation systems software and hardware.

• Provides consultation to business area management and staff at the highest technical level for all aspects of end user computing applications and network-based PC/workstation software and hardware, including troubleshooting, repairs, network configurations, installations and upgrades.
• Manage, support, and troubleshoot network printers, scanners.
• Manage, support and troubleshoot mobile devices such as WOWs, laptops, macs, tablets and smart phones.
• Move, add and change workstations throughout Mount Sinai Western Queens locations and off campus.
• Provide support for Mount Sinai Western Queens users at remote sites outside the campus which might require local travel.
• Participates in the evaluation of new end user computing packages, including remote connectivity products, and equipment, implements and tests prototypes, applies installation quality assurance tests and ensures consistency with standards.
• Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems and concerns and perform related duties as assigned or requested.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows MSCE.
• Two years experience in programming and analysis and in end user computing and network-based PC/workstation applications, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $27.39 - $51.29 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
