Jr. Security Analyst

This is a remote position.

• Monitor and Analyze Security Alerts: Continuously track and evaluate security alerts and events generated by various security tools, including SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, to identify potential threats.
  
• Assist with Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing: Participate in conducting vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses across the organization's infrastructure and applications.
  
• Support Security Measure Implementation and Maintenance: Aid in the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard the network and data.
  
• Incident Investigation and Response: Assist in the investigation, analysis, and response to security incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and other cyber threats, to mitigate their impact and restore system integrity.
  
• Contribute to Security Policies and Procedures: Support the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  
• Provide Security Awareness Training: Help design and deliver security awareness programs to educate employees and clients on safe practices, including phishing prevention and data protection measures.
  
• Collaborate with IT and Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, network, and other departments to ensure security best practices are integrated into all operational processes and systems.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  
• Some experience in a Security Analyst or similar role.
  
• Basic knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  
• Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or similar are a plus.
  

• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
  
• Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
