Lab Technician, Quality Control

Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an opening for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at their Bend, OR location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all Quality Control laboratory work areas are clean and in accurate working order
• Coordinate, manage waste, and store laboratory supplies
• Maintain laboratory reagent and consumables inventory
• Complete training as required, including but not limited to; GMP entry, general skills, and solution preparation
• Complete training for safe and appropriate handling and disposal of solutions and waste
• Perform routine laboratory procedures such as, but not limited to; cleaning and restocking glassware, accurately disposing of organic and pharmaceutical waste, cleaning and preparing dissolution baths, etc.
• Adhere to quality systems and standards to ensure a safe work environment and processes
• Act as Hazardous Waste Manager
• Travel between two Bend sites
• Perform other duties as required

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent experience; college or university experience in a field is beneficial
• Learn and adhere to appropriate chemical handling procedures
• Exhibit excellent documentation skills
• Be diligent
• Ability to understand and follow protocols, policies, and procedures
• Work independently and carry out assigned duties effectively
