Job Brief:

We are seeking a dynamic leader to advance North American Promotional Capabilities and help shape the future of data-driven merchandising at Circle K. In this role, you will develop and implement promotional planning and analytics tools, embed promotional processes into broader merchandising strategies, and drive adoption across stakeholders. You will work closely with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and Business Units to deliver initiatives that strengthen promotional effectiveness and create measurable business impact. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with analytical depth, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can influence and mobilize teams to deliver results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Promotional Capabilities roadmap in North America, ensuring alignment with the Global Merchandising strategy and delivering high-value outcomes.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and product owner for NA Promotional Reporting Capabilities, partnering with Global Tech, Data & Analytics, and functional teams to design and implement tools and processes.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for promotional data, tools, and processes, while contributing to broader cross-functional initiatives.
  • Test, learn, and refine execution, partnering with the Merchandising team and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, share insights, and improve in-market promotional performance.
  • Drive adoption of promotional tools and processes by collaborating with Global Functions, Regional Merchandising, and Business Unit leaders.
  • Support annual business planning, applying a data-driven approach to forecast revenue and margin from promotions.
  • Champion a data-driven, change-agent culture, embedding new tools and decision-making approaches into merchandising and promotional planning.
  • Integrate tools and processes into training, working with Merchandising Training & Development to embed new ways of working into Merchandising Analytics and Category Management programs.
  • Evaluate and communicate promotional performance, using analytical tools to generate insights and share results with senior leadership and regional/BU teams.
  • Lead and coach a business analyst, providing mentorship in analytics, project execution, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in CPG, retail merchandising, or strategy consulting.
  • Demonstrated success working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive change across the organization.
  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity, complexity, change and pace. Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing amongst them.
  • Strong understanding of multi-unit retail operating models and processes for merchandising and promotion execution, to include operational support for promotion optimization activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong ability to synthesize and simplify complex ideas into compelling presentations.
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop strategic frameworks and executional approaches.
  • Experience in a supervisory role, managing and developing people.
  • Category Management and Project Management (Scrum) experience a plus.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (including international); valid passport required.
  • Flexibility around working hours required, working with teams across time zones
