Be part of a Ford team responsible delivering vehicles that are “Built Ford Tough.” You will work cross-functionally with all teams to define how our customers use their vehicles. You will collect and mine data to correlate our test methods to ensure we are covering all customer use cases. Using data analytics and structural data. You will:
What you'll do...
Review and analyze vehicle structural and powertrain data.
Responsible for data preparation, for correlation analysis, and for the development of the required technologies for road load data acquisition.
Perform correlation analysis on processed data for development of Durability test procedures
Process data to remove anomalies.
Support "trend monitoring" implementation in automotive vehicle testing and road load programs through cascading and data acquisition.
Test vehicle structure and powertrain; process and analyze road load data using nCode Glyphworks.
Perform level crossing and pseudo damage calculations for structural load comparisons.
Develop Rainflow files for fatigue analysis of test data.
Analyze customer passenger car surveys to determine usage profile for the development and validation of durability test procedures.
Work with data logging equipment; and creating setups for data acquisition.
You'll have...
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
10+ years durability customer correlation experience
Even better, you may have...
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with material strength and fatigue
Experience in interpreting tested data
Experienced in decoding raw Vehicle CAN binary data from custom built loggers using MATLAB, Python, and Intrepid Vspy software .
Proficient in statistical and data analytical software nCode glyphworks, MATLAB, Minitab, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of CATIA, MS tools, CATIA, Ford Teamcenter, CATIA and MS Project.
Experience in HBM Somat eDAQ, HBM eDAQ plus and eDAQxr systesm
Working knowledge of ValueCAN, NeoOBD2lC and dataloggers
Possess a growth mindset and desire to work in fast-paced and highly technical environment
Highly motivated and proactive, with exceptional attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with strong communication and teamwork skills
