JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Application Specialist manages and supports key district systems, including Student Information, Salesforce-based applications, and Special Education platforms. Working closely with the Team Lead, they assist in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and developing procedures that align with district standards. Key duties include configuring and launching application features, troubleshooting performance issues, and responding to urgent system needs. This position also involves occasional training of school staff on effective system use within the educational environment.

Troubleshoot systems, providing solutions to identified problems and ensures they are documented, implemented and operating properly. Track usage, performance, integrity, security, and incidents of applications for the purpose of making improvement and planning changes.

Apply advanced skills in application configuration, development and deployment of new application features.

Communicate with Application team, team lead and SIS manager about status of work and any issues with work in progress.

Help to enforce data integrity measures.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education/experience
- Five (5) years of experience in K-12 Student Information Systems
- Intermediate knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, email, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced understanding of reporting principles and practices
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced interpersonal relations skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Ability to exercise good judgment, problem solving ability, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidel
